Missionaries are not required to have medical insurance. If they have health coverage prior to their mission, they are asked to keep that insurance so as to keep costs lower for the Church. But if missionaries are not covered by their own health insurance, the Church will pay necessary medical costs while they are on their mission. I hope this help. Good luck and God bless.
